The Intercessor
continues:
F O R T H E C H U R C H
Send forth your Spirit to strengthen the witness of your Church throughout the world, and to heal the divisions among Christian believers and traditions, that all who profess the faith handed down to us from generation to generation may be united in a fervent desire to bear witness to you in unity and peace. As you do so, lift the voices of all you have called to apostolic ministry in your Church, [especially...] to speak boldly of the Gospel's invitation to repentance and renewal; and continue to inspire fresh vocations to ministry and consecrated life.
F O R T H E W O R L D
Touch the hearts of all who govern, [especially…,] revealing to them paths that lead to justice and peace; lead the students, teachers, scholars and poets of our age to drink deeply of your wisdom, for the transformation of our world; and inspire in the hearts of many the good will to serve the most pressing needs of our communities, that the dignity of all may be maintained through their labors and their love.

The hungry and the
impoverished…
or unable to receive forgiveness…
Those who are sick and suffering…
And those who find
themselves, this day,
abiding in the shadow of the valley of death…
We also lift before you those
special intentions of which we are aware.

those for whom they wish to pray.

In your mercy, grant
rest to our departed brothers and sisters,
and indeed to all the departed whom we commend to your perfect love.

The Celebrant concludes:
Father, you hear us when we call to you with our
hopes and dreams, joys and fears, wants and needs. May the prayers we have made
this day – for us and for all – be received and answered in ways that we may
readily comprehend. And, in those moments where your good pleasure seems contrary
to our desires, fill us with the courage to seek your will, and to entrust all
that we are to your most gracious keeping through the merits and mediation of your
beloved Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
