Common Trinitytide Preface for the Gregorian Eucharistic Prayer

  The Lord be with you.
And with your spirit.

Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give him thanks and praise.

Father, all-powerful and ever-living God, at all times and in all places, it is right to give you thanks and praise for, together with your co-eternal Son and Holy Spirit, you are one God, one Lord, in Trinity of Persons and in Unity of Substance; for that which we believe of your glory, O Father, we believe the same of your Son, and of the Holy Spirit, without any difference or inequality.

Therefore we praise you, joining our voices with angels and archangels, and with all your saints of every time and place, who forever sing this hymn to proclaim the glory of your holy Name.

Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of Hosts!
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.
